OVERVIEW
This restored 1964 Chevrolet El Camino is powered by a 283ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, an adjustable air ride suspension, a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo, and a black rubber bed mat. Finished in red with black stripes, this El Camino comes from the selling dealer with vehicle history, documentation, receipts, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the nine-year restoration, the exterior was finished in red with black SS stripes. Features include chrome bumpers, a driver-side rearview mirror, a fender-mounted antenna, rocker and wheel well moldings, and a black rubber bed floor mat. The selling dealer states that the chrome and stainless trim is new.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch aluminum American Racing wheels is wrapped in 215/45/ZR17 Toyo Proxes radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows and brakes, power steering, a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo, a four-spoke Lecarra aluminum steering wheel with a gray grip, and a floor-mounted automatic shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm Moon tachometer, and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. A pair of gauges for the oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 49,023 miles, which the selling reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 283ci V8 engine and backed by an automatic transmission. Engine bay features include black valve covers and a black air cleaner, a chrome alternator, and a polished stainless steel fan shroud.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This El Camino was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. An adjustable air suspension system has been installed. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear tires.
