302-POWERED 1936 FORD CABRIOLET 5-SPEED

OVERVIEW

This restored 1936 Ford Cabriolet is powered by a 302ci Ford V8 engine backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Features include an independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, a folding convertible top, and a tilt steering column. Finished in tan and equipped with a black soft top over a red vinyl interior, this Ford Cabriolet comes from the selling dealer with a clear North Carolina title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the exterior was finished in tan. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, a four-piece hinged hood, dual mirrors, a black cloth manual folding top, red accent pinstriping, black running boards, and a frenched retractable antenna. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch red steel wheels with dog dish hub caps and trim rings is wrapped in whitewall radial tires. The selling dealer states that the tires have good tread remaining.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl with cream piping. Features include manual steering and brakes, manual windows, a floor-mounted shifter, a tilt steering column, a three-spoke banjo steering wheel with a tan grip, air conditioning, a steel dashboard with a simulated woodgrain finish, and a six-disc CD changer. The selling dealer states that the interior shows minor wear in certain places and the horn does not work.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located in a polished aluminum panel ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 1,687 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is supplied by a 302ci Ford V8 engine and backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock air cleaner, and tube exhaust headers.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The chassis has been modified to accept a Mustang II independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and a solid Ford rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This Ford was previously sold on AutoHunter, but it is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the seller. The selling dealer charges a $250 documentation fee in addition to the sale price of the vehicle.
