OVERVIEW
This 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang was built in Dearborn, Michigan on June 22, 1964, and draws power from a 260ci V8 backed by a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include bucket seats, a center console, and an AM radio. Finished in red over a refurbished black vinyl interior, this Mustang is available now and comes from the selling dealer with receipts, service records, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was originally Sunlight Yellow (code V), but was repaired and refinished in red under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, 260 V8 engine call-out emblems, a driver-side mirror, and rocker trim. The selling dealer states that the paint shows age-related wear and that the front valance has a small bend in the middle and a small crack in the paint by the license plate mount.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black steel wheels with full hub caps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, and door panels in the refurbished cabin are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a center console with an automatic transmission shifter, manual windows, an AM radio, and manual steering and brakes. The selling dealer states that the radio will turn on but does not work and the dashboard is free of cracks.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 71,370 miles, which the selling dealer believes are the original miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an F-code 260ci two-barrel V8 equipped with a 1964.5-correct generator and paired with a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mustang was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A full-length dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
