OVERVIEW
This body-off-restored 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 ST 4X4 is powered by a replacement 5.9-liter V8 backed by an overhauled four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include power steering, power anti-lock front disc brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, a sliding rear window, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and a new OEM bed. Finished in Flame Red over a gray vinyl and cloth interior, this Ram is available now and comes from the selling dealer with engine and transmission receipts, a CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the body-off restoration, the exterior was finished in the original color of Flame Red (code PR4). Features include chrome bumpers with black trim, a chrome grille, dual side mirrors, replacement rocker panels, a new OEM bed, and a drop-in bed liner. The selling dealer states that any previously rusted areas on the cab were cut out and replaced with new metal.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of chrome 16-inch Dodge wheels is wrapped in 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The seats are upholstered in gray vinyl with gray cloth seating areas. Features include power steering, power brakes, manual locks and windows, a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a floor-mounted transfer case shifter, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. Additional features include cruise control, air conditioning, a sliding rear window, and a tilt steering column.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The digital odometer reads 135,197 miles; the last mileage figure logged on the CARFAX report in September 2009 was 112,286 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a replacement 5.9-liter V8 and backed by a refreshed four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer states that the engine has logged 25,000 miles since being installed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Ram 2500 is equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear drive axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. The single exhaust system features new hardware from the muffler back. The selling dealer states that the chassis was blasted to bare metal and refinished with satin black chassis saver.

Thank you for the answer. I prefer rebuilding when able. I good rebuild can be done as economically as a crate and increase horsepower and torque. I also prefer matching numbers for the OEM Original Equipment Manufactured value retention. Oh well, it is what it is.
That model truck was notorious for crumbling dash. It has a cheesy dash cap glued on a crumbling old 25 year old dash. Why did you not change the dash with a new dash?
