OVERVIEW
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport replica is powered by a ZZ502 502ci V8 crate engine backed by a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission. Features include a D&D Corvette Grand Sport replica body, a powder-coated 1975 Corvette frame, a quick-ratio power steering box, Gymkhana front springs, Energy Suspension Parts polyurethane bushings, SPC Performance adjustable upper control arms, and a VBP bump steer kit. Additional features include power windows, Vintage Air climate controls, an ididit tilt steering column, Grand Sport replica seats, and Vintage Wheels Halibrand replica wheels. Finished in Brilliant Blue Metallic with white and red accents over a blue vinyl interior, this Corvette comes from the selling dealer with a clear Massachusetts title for a 1975 Corvette.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the 2005 build completed by Dean Hoskins of D&D Corvette in Akron, Ohio, a D&D Grand Sport body kit was installed and refinished in Brilliant Blue Metallic and a livery inspired by the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport #003. Features include clear headlight covers, a hood scoop, dual rearview mirrors, an aluminum fuel filler, an external transmission cooler, a hinged rear trunk, and custom taillights. A full walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Vintage Wheels Halibrand replica wheels with knock-off center caps is wrapped in 26.50” x 8” front and 26.50” x 10” rear Goodyear Vintage Blue Streak Special tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The replica Grand Sport seats are upholstered in blue vinyl. Features include an ididit tilt steering column, manual steering and brakes, Vintage Air climate controls, a Grant steering wheel with a walnut rim, a roll bar with headrests, and a trunk-mounted battery.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The AutoMeter Ultra-Lite gauges located ahead of the driver include a 160-mph speedometer, a 10K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer reads 1,200 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a ZZ502 502ci V8 crate engine and backed by a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission equipped with a high-performance clutch and pressure plate, and a Lakewood bellhousing scatter shield. The reported output is 502 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. Engine bay features include gray stamped steel valve covers, an aluminum intake, a Quick Fuel Technology 850-cfm Black Diamond carburetor, a chrome alternator, an aluminum Griffin radiator with a SPAL electric fan, a chrome air cleaner, and Hooker Super Competition headers. Power is delivered to the back wheels through a rebuilt 3.55:1 Positraction rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The chassis of this Grand Sport Replica was sourced from a 1975 Corvette, then sandblasted and powder-coated. Features include chassis reinforcements, a quick-ratio power steering box, Gymkhana front springs, Energy Suspension Parts polyurethane bushings, SPC Performance adjustable upper control arms, a VBP bump steer kit, a VBP spreader bar kit, a VBP adjustable transverse rear spring, rebuilt rear trailing arms with new bearings and bushings, and a 1.25-inch front stabilizer bar. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Corvette was previously sold on AutoHunter, but it is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the seller.

@Kemacprr – With the age of the build , the header and suspension condition and the factory chassis . I would say in the 75-85 range. Tube chassis would bump it up. My D&D was built in 96 DDGS 0049. Wonder how old the tires are ? ...

Thank you for your question. FYI, a search online for one of these cars in this condition will find them running from $140,000 to upwards of $300,000 (I have found at least 3 on one site starting at $250,000). Regardless, this car was built in 2005 and chassis modifications were added to give it the stability and performance characteristics of the tubular frame version; after all, D&D built this and tubular frame versions and are not likely to damage their brand or reputation in any way. As can be seen in the pictures, everything is like new including all suspension components and headers etc. Driving this car is exhilarating and I recommend driving it to truly appreciate what it is. As for the tires, they are original to the build but have little signs of wear and no cracks or dry rot whatsoever. @MIAMIRUST – I don't see A/C components in the engine compartment nor vents inside the cockpit. Could you guy confirm if it is a true A/C car or if it's just a mistake on the description? ...
I’m sorry, it may be unclear but there is a vintage air climate system in the car, which is for heat, not AC. It doesn’t say there’s AC in the car but it doesn’t specifically say that the climate control is for heat. Sorry for any confusion.
