302-POWERED 1968 FORD F-100

OVERVIEW

This 1968 Ford F-100 long-bed pickup has a Jasper 302cid V8 crate engine that has been upgraded with aluminum heads and sends power rearward through an automatic overdrive transmission. Equipment includes power front disc brakes, Cragar wheels, a newer stereo, and power steering. Finished in Rangoon Red over a black and gray vinyl interior, this fifth-generation F-Series truck is now offered by the selling dealer with restoration records, receipts, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Rangoon Red exterior features chrome brightwork, side-exit exhaust outlets, a vinyl tonneau cover, a spray-in bedliner, and blue-dot taillights.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Chrome Cragar SS 15-inch wheels are wrapped in 265/70R15 Cooper Discoverer H/T tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior of the cab has been refurbished to include a black vinyl bench seat with gray accents and red piping. Features include power steering, a body-color dash face, black carpeting, floor mats, a newer stereo with iPod connectivity, a Lokar floor shifter, tinted windows, and a leather-wrapped Grant GT steering wheel.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a sweeping 100-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a coolant temperature gauge. Additionally, an aftermarket 8,000-rpm tachometer and Sunpro supplementary readouts are mounted under the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 70,800 miles, a figure the selling dealer asserts is original to the chassis.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The Jasper 302cid V8 crate engine has been upgraded with Ford Racing valve covers and aluminum heads. That transfers power to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted automatic transmission with overdrive.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from power disc brakes up front and drums in the rear.
