This 1966 Sunbeam Tiger Mk 1A is finished in Carnival Red over black interior. Originally listed in Norman Miller's Tiger Registry in February 1991, the car was titled out of Mesa, Arizona, prior to being recently acquired by the selling Missouri dealer. Power comes from a Ford 289ci V8 mated to a T10 4-speed Toploader manual and a 2.88 rear end. Upgrades include Hi-Po heads, a dual-point distributor, Holley 600cfm 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum Tiger Power intake, finned aluminum valve covers, a six-blade cooling fan, Koni shocks, and more. This Mk 1A currently shows 71k miles on the odometer, was recently serviced, and is offered with a clear Missouri title in the selling dealer's name.
The car originally left the factory in Embassy Black but was refinished in Carnival Red under previous ownership. Exterior features include a fiberglass hood with functional scoop and vents, Talbot-style side view mirrors, chrome bumpers, door handles, trunk hinges, and Rootes Group badges. A roll bar is fitted behind the driver's seat, and a black soft top with a plastic rear window is equipped.
Los Angeles Tiger 13" alloy wheels are wrapped in white letter Goodyear Eagle ST radial tires.
The black interior is equipped with a burled walnut dash, mahogany steering wheel and matching shift knob, Smith's electric clock, Jaeger instrumentation, windshield washer, and a locking center console. Rubber Sunbeam Tiger mats up front sit atop black carpet covering the rest of the cabin and trunk floor. A fire extinguisher is attached to the bolt-in roll bar, and a black boot cover is fitted over the convertible top well. The battery and spare tire are located underneath the false trunk floor.
Instrumentation consists of individual gauges, including a 7k rpm tachometer and 140mph speedometer in as well as gauges for voltage, oil pressure, fuel level, and water temperature. The odometer shows just under 71k miles, but true mileage unknown.
A previous owner removed the original 260ci V8, and an early Ford 289ci V8 currently powers the car with a Holley 600cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Hi-Po heads, dual-point distributor, aluminum Tiger Power by Ford intake and valve covers, and a 6-blade cooling fan. Power is sent to a 2.88:1 rear end through a Borg Warner T10 4-speed manual transmission. Recent work includes changing the oil filter and replacing the air filter, coolant, thermostat gasket, heater hoses, V-belt, transmission mounts, battery, and rebuilding the generator.
Girling front disc brakes with braided stainless-steel brake lines can be found underneath, as can Koni shocks and a new stainless steel dual exhaust system with polished tips. Additional photos showing the condition of the underside are found in the gallery.
The selling dealer notes that the car is titled as a 1967, and this is indicated on the included Missouri title.

This is waay to little for a collectible since new roadster, that has great fun and intrigue - and simply looks and reads as just right to me. (I so need a storage building someplace near...)

@PapaGil – Do you have the original steel hood for the car? ...
The original steel hood is absolutely solid and included with the sale. It will need to be painted to match if you wish to you use it again though.
