OVERVIEW
This 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS two-door hardtop has been driven fewer than 500 miles since being restored and receives power from a reportedly numbers-matching 396cid Turbo-Jet big-block V8 mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power front disc brakes, a dual exhaust system, and factory air conditioning components. Finished in Marina Blue over a Bright Blue vinyl interior, this fourth-generation Impala is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
New Marina Blue (paint code F) paint was applied and new gaskets, seals, and glass were installed during the restoration completed within the last 10 years. Exterior features include quad headlights, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, Super Sport badging, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
American Racing Torq Thrust 15-inch chrome wheels are wrapped in 225/60R15 General AltiMAX RT45 tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is furnished with Bright Blue (trim code 848) vinyl seats both front and rear, matched to the door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting. Amenities include a Strato Bench front seat with a fold-down center armrest, an SS-branded steering wheel, a radio, and a tilt steering column. A Frigidaire air conditioning system is installed, but the selling dealer is not sure if it is functional.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for various vehicle levels. The odometer reads 431 miles, which the selling dealer states were accrued since the restoration was completed.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly numbers-matching 396cid Turbo-Jet big-block V8 received a new oil pan in March; additional work performed within the last year includes the replacement of the steering gear and starter along with a carburetor adjustment and a tune-up. Power is sent to the back wheels via a column-shifted TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is performed by power disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. The suspension has been lowered and uses spacers up front for additional clearance.
