1973 TRIUMPH TR6

OVERVIEW

This restored 1973 Triumph TR6 roadster is powered by a 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine equipped with rebuilt dual carburetors and connected to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally finished in Sapphire (code 96), the body was refinished in Mimosa yellow (code 64) during a restoration completed in 2011. Features include chrome bumpers, black accent stripes, a chrome windshield frame with wind wings, a cowl-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, a manual black vinyl convertible top with a zip-up rear window, and a flip-up fuel cap.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of silver 15-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels is wrapped in 215/60R15 Kelly Charger radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bucket seats are upholstered in black cloth. Features include manual steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, a vintage-look radio, a three-spoke steering wheel with a black grip, black vinyl door panels with manual window cranks, black carpeting, a center console, a black padded roll bar, a driver-side RJS Racing Equipment harness, and a passenger-side three-point seat belt. The trunk is fully upholstered with matching black carpeting.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, battery voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted in the woodgrain dashboard panel. The odometer reads 72,154 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate. In addition, they state that the speedometer does not show the correct speed.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine connected to dual carburetors that were rebuilt in 2022 and a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The body-color engine bay features a finned aluminum valve cover, chrome air cleaner housings with K&N elements, a spin-on oil filter, a stainless steel radiator shroud, an emergency hood release kit, and an electronic ignition system. An oil change was completed in 2022.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Triumph is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. A set of four performance springs and Koni front shocks have been installed.
