OVERVIEW
This one-family-owned 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook is an older restoration powered by a 218ci flathead inline-six engine backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include a new master cylinder, a six-volt electrical system, and manual steering and brakes. Finished in dark green over a two-tone green cloth interior, this Plymouth is available now and comes with a clear Colorado title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
According to the seller, this car was restored approximately 25 years ago. The exterior is finished in dark green and features chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a chrome grille, a hood ornament, a driver-side mirror, accent trim, and chrome door handles.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of steel wheels with Plymouth hub caps is wrapped in radial tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in dark green and light green cloth. Features include manual steering and brakes, manual windows, a column-mounted manual shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel with a 360-degree horn ring, a radio block-off plate, and a heater. The seller notes that the transmission has difficulty getting into reverse and first.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, amps, oil pressure, and temperature are located ahead of the driver. The non-functional odometer reads 32,701 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power comes from a 218ci flathead inline-six engine and is backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include an oil-bath air filter and a six-volt electrical system.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Plymouth was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Manual drums bring the car to a stop. According to the seller, the master cylinder was recently replaced and the brake system was flushed. A single exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This vehicle was previously sold on AutoHunter, but it is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the seller.

i really appreciate the bids but with less than an hour to go this beauty has not be reserve yet. It's definitely getting closer. This car is really a wonderful specimen of its era - one family owned, maintained and mostly stored car!))) I think whoever wins this car is going to be very happy with it.

Her tires are in excellent condition. I take the car out for a short ride (just a few miles) about twice a year, basically to show her off and make sure everything is serviced correctly. So the tires are practically new.

Thanks to all for your bids on this one-family owned car. My wife inherited this car which was originally owned purchased by her Great Grandmother, new in 1953. As I commented earlier, this car starts, runs and stops great! The engine runs and idles very smooth. The car has still not met reserve so I want to encourage bidding on this beauty and I want the car to go to someone who will take this wonderful car over. Let's get the bidding up to reserve so some fortunate winner will take this home with them)

@elzorro49 – Is this car operational? ...
This car starts, runs, stops very well! I just had the brakes serviced. The engine absolutely purrs. I have driven the car at 70 mph down the freeway and it did so without strain (not that I recommend driving a 70 year old car at 70 mph). This has been a one-family car (several generations) and has had consistent servicing and stored out of the weather. By the way, the car has not met reserve yet. I would really like to see this car, our family's legacy , go home wiht a great new owner for her next 70 years.
