OVERVIEW
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is powered by a 350cid V8 backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, a center console, hide-away headlights, and SS badging. Finished in Ash Gold over a black vinyl interior, this garage-stored Camaro comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free exterior was originally finished in Seafrost Green (paint code P) but was repainted Ash Gold (paint code G) approximately 10 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, a black grille with hide-away headlights, a black nose band stripe, simulated hood ports, SS emblems, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, a color-keyed rear spoiler, and an SS fuel cap.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels is wrapped in 235/60R15 front and 245/60R15 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, power brakes, manual windows, and a black steering wheel with an SS emblem. The seller states that the AM radio does not work.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. According to the seller, the odometer reads 52,458 miles. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350cid V8 and backed by a Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a Weiand aluminum intake manifold, a carburetor, an Edelbrock air cleaner, exhaust headers, and a newer Optima Yellowtop battery. The seller states that an oil change was completed last year.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Camaro was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
@BigRedsTrucks – In 1968, Front Disc brakes were optional on all Camaros. I have a '68 Camaro, that I've owned for over 50 years, and have all kinds of books on Camaros. I just looked it up, to confirm my memory. LOL. ...
Good to know. I love the conversation the world is having.
It has a/c. a 2-60 system. roll down 2 windows and go 60 miles an hours. That being said the car has been parked for 9 years. I take it to town ocasional and get bombarded with wows, selfies, thumbs up,!etc.!
So do you drive this in the summer with no A/C out here in AZ?
@808 – I believe that a true SS car should have front disc brakes. ...

@BMT450 – According to Hemmings: In 1968, manual drums were still standard equipment; power assist and disc brakes were optional on all but Z/28. In 1969, front disc brakes became part of the SS package and the JL8 high-performance four-wheel disc-brake option became available, but found just 206 takers. ...
Good to know. Thanks!
