OVERVIEW
This 1932 Ford Roadster is powered by a late-1938 Ford 24-stud flathead V8 backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Features include a fiberglass body, electric power steering, front disc brakes, an under-seat-mounted stereo, a dropped front axle, an original 1932 Ford frame, and color-matched Detroit Steel wheels. Finished in gray over a charcoal gray vinyl interior, this Roadster comes with an uninstalled new manual folding convertible top, service records, and a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The fiberglass body is finished in gray. Features include a color-matched 1932 Ford radiator shell, an exposed engine bay, a chrome tilt-out windshield frame, dual mirrors, a hinged trunk area, and 1950 Pontiac-style taillights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
The 18-inch front and 22-inch rear body-color Detroit Steel wheels with chrome center caps are wrapped in new Continental whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The new bench seat is upholstered in charcoal gray vinyl. Features include new gray carpeting, electric power steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, a two-spoke 1940 Ford replica steering wheel, a stereo mounted under the seat, and a body-color dashboard. The seller notes paint blemishes around one of the dashboard vents.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The set of white-faced Moon gauges includes a speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level and other vehicle systems. The odometer reads 1,841 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a late-1938 Ford 24-stud flathead V8 and backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include a red engine block and finned aluminum Offenhauser valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, dual single-barrel carburetors, and chrome air cleaners. Additional features include a finned aluminum coil cover, stainless steel spark plug routing tubes, and ceramic-coated side-exit headers. The seller states that the suspension, alignment, engine, carburetors, and tuning have been checked.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Roadster is equipped with a reportedly original Ford frame that has been refinished to match the body and modified to accept a chrome dropped tube front axle mounted with a chrome four-bar setup and a solid rear drive axle that is also mounted with a chrome four-bar arrangement. Chassis features include a chrome front leaf spring, chrome shocks, chrome headlight stands, chrome spreader bars, and a body-color fuel tank. Braking is provided by manual front disc brakes and rear drums.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Service records and an uninstalled new manual folding convertible top will be included with the vehicle.
