I bought a new '70 GTO when I was in the Navy. 455 C.I.D., 360 hp, 4 speed Hurst. Mariner Turquoise paint with a light beige interior. Drove it across country many times. Best gas mileage I could get was 18 mpg on the interstate doing 75 mph. LOVED that car, but couldn't afford to drive it when gas prices crept closer to a buck a gallon. Kept it until '77 when I traded it in on a '77 Honda Accord. SAD, SAD day. Looking at this beautiful GTO brought back great memories. Too bad that it's slightly outta my budget now. BTW, my bidder name is OLD GTO GUY.........AND I used to live in West Linn before I retired from Tri-Met.
