This 1999 Chevrolet Corvette is a fixed-roof coupe example finished in Torch Red over black and red leather. Power comes from a 418 Stroker V8 with methanol injection capable of making 1000 horsepower paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car was the recipient of a no expense spared build and completed 5k miles ago. Located in Hanover, Massachusettes, this C5 Corvette is offered by the selling dealer on behalf of the owner with extensive documentation of the build and a clean Massachusetts title.
Fiberglass bodywork is finished in Torch Red, accented with subtle liquid silver ghost flames. Body modifications include an RK sport rise, ram air hood modified to promote heat extraction, two-inch flared custom rear fenders with Z06 brake ducts, and a ACI rear spoiler. Additional accessories include screened and painted fog lamp covers, black screened vents on the front side and rear, body and rail covers, and tinted windows. Minor hairline cracks are present around the hood scoop; photos are available in the gallery.
Custom-built CCW forged aluminum wheels wear Michelin Pilot tires measuring 275/35/18 in the front and 345/30/19 in the rear. Braking is handled by Baer Eradispeed drilled and slotted rotors, Z06 calipers with Hawk HPS Ferro Carbon pads, and stainless lines.
The interior is trimmed in black and red leather with black carpeting. Factory equipment includes power windows and locks and automatic climate control. A Hurst competition shifter with a white shift ball is housed in the center console with a red leather boot, and the steering wheel features a two-tone black and red leather scheme.
Additional accessories include a roll bar, an upgraded sound system with Boston Acoustics Pro Series speakers, Eclipse 400 Watt 4 Channel AMP, AM/FM 6 CD player, SIRIUS Satellite radio, and JL Audio subwoofers. The car retains its factory gauge cluster with additional gauges for boost and air/fuel ratio and shift light mounted in a pod on the A-pillar. The odometer currently reads just over 82k miles, with the build being completed 5k miles ago.
The engine is a 418ci Stroker L92 V8 dynoed to 1000hp and is linked to the T56 6-speed manual transmission and 3.42 rear end. Engine upgrades include a methanol injection system, Callies forged crank/rods, JE-24cc forged pistons, 9 .5/1 compression ratio, a Paxton supercharger, Kooks headers, and more. Built by Don Kinder, a build sheet is seen in the gallery highlighting an exhaustive list of high end components used in this build, totaling over $100K.
The chassis features Phadt Racing 3 adjustable coil-over shocks front and rear, Hotchkis sway bars with Heim aluminum end links, and a stainless Borla exhaust. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the gallery.
The CARFAX report shows two separate damage reports; an accident involving another vehicle was reported in March 2002, and the vehicle hit a guardrail in November of 2011. Included in the sale are all receipts and invoices for work performed during the build, as well as a detailed parts list.

Whatever this ends up selling for is gonna be a bargain no matter, it ain't cheap to get to 1000hp! the biggest question then is where can you find a road long enough to stretch its legs? @zoomclassiccars do you know if this car has ever run in a standing/flying mile event? Seems like this is the perfect car for that type of event
