OVERVIEW
This 1985 Moto Guzzi Le Mans 1000 is an Italian-built motorcycle powered by a 948cc V-twin engine coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes clip-on handlebars, an upgraded 18-inch front wheel, disc brakes, and a BUB Enterprises exhaust system. Finished in Ferrari Giallo Fly Yellow and equipped with a black vinyl Sargent seat, this Le Mans 1000 is now offered by the selling dealer with an owner’s manual, a toolkit, and a clear title.
BODY – FEATURES
The body color was changed from the original red to Ferrari's Giallo Fly Yellow under prior ownership. Features include a single headlight, a quarter-fairing windshield, clip-on handlebars with risers, and a black mirror cap. The selling dealer states that the rearmost section of the tail has a small crack in it.
WHEELS AND TIRES
The 18-inch front wheel was retrofitted from a later-model Moto Guzzi Le Mans and matches the design and diameter of the rear wheel. Those are equipped with staggered-width tires that measure 110/80 at the front and 130/80 at the rear.
SEATING
A black vinyl Sargent seat has been added.
INSTRUMENTATION
Veglia-branded instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a 9,000-rpm tachometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 32,810 miles, which the selling dealer asserts is the true mileage on the chassis.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The air-cooled 948cc OHV V-twin motor is longitudinally mounted and was rated at 82 horsepower when new. Features include Dellorto carburetors, stainless steel hardware, and a black-finished muffler as part of the BUB Enterprises exhaust system. Recent maintenance includes a tune-up and the installation of a new battery in May 2023. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and shaft drive.
CHASSIS
The front suspension uses telescopic forks and the rear uses adjustable twin shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from triple-disc brakes, which received a fluid flush in May. A belly pan has been installed.

Hello Mick, I'm happy to help facilitate shipping on my end for any bidder, but it will be the bidder's responsibility to handle the arrangement of the shipping (contacting shippers and handling the details). Regarding a call, I am happy to talk internationally using WhatsApp or another similar app. However, I do not have international calling capability on my mobile or land devices. Thanks!

That's a great and practical question. This bike features twin 40mm Dell’Orto carburetors. Parts are readily accessible still, including the jets. With that said, Bend Oregon is at around 3600' and the nearby high lakes loop gets up to right around 5000', so I'd say that the bike should do fine in NV, as is. Thanks!
As I live at a higher elevation (5300 ft), will I have to do a needle change? And if so, how hard are the parts to find? Thank you
