OVERVIEW
This 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda was put through a mechanical and cosmetic renovation process in 2022 and is powered by a period-correct 426cid HEMI V8 paired with a manual transmission and a Dana rear end. Equipment includes power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, a pistol-grip shift lever, hood scoops, and accent graphics. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this 'Cuda is now offered with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The repainted red exterior is completed with black striping on the rear quarter panels. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, fog lamps, a matte gray split grille, dual hood scoops, dual chrome mirror caps, and slotted taillights.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The 15-inch steel Rallye wheels have polished trim rings and are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with black vinyl high-back bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, dash pad, headliner, and carpeting. Features include power steering, embroidered floor mats, aluminum door sill entry plates, manual crank windows, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a pistol-grip shift lever.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge that shows the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. A five-digit mechanical odometer tracks accrued mileage, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The period-correct 426cid HEMI V8 reportedly underwent an extensive overhaul within the past year and comes with a modified air cleaner, carburetor, and intake. Power is transferred to the back wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual BorgWarner transmission and a Dana rear end.
