OVERVIEW
This restored 1956 Thunderbird convertible was previously owned by a collector for 15 years. It is powered by a 312cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power brakes, rear wheel skirts, a Continental kit, an AM radio, and accessory simulated wire hubcaps. Finished in Coral Mist and equipped with a black Haartz manual soft top over a black and white vinyl interior, this Thunderbird comes from the selling dealer with a Colonial White hardtop and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior has been refinished in Coral Mist. Features include chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, a fender-mounted antenna, a Haartz black vinyl manual convertible top, rear wheel skirts, a color-matched Continental kit, and rear bumper-exit exhaust outlets. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 15-inch steel wheels with chrome dog dish center caps and accessory simulated wire hubcaps is wrapped in Firestone whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat and the door panels have been reupholstered in black and white vinyl. Features include manual steering, a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, an AM radio, manual windows, and black vinyl trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 150-mph speedometer, a 5,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level and engine temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 55,591 miles, but the actual miles on this vehicle are unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 312cid V8, which is connected to a four-barrel carburetor and a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include finned aluminum valve covers and a chrome air cleaner housing.
