OVERVIEW
According to the selling dealer, this 1971 Pontiac GTO is a two-owner California car with 48,008 miles on it that recently underwent a $50,000 restoration. It is powered by the reportedly original Ram Air III 400cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, bucket seats, a center console, factory air conditioning with an R134a refrigerant conversion, an AM/FM radio, a rear wing, and a T41 nose with an Endura front bumper and a Ram Air hood. Finished in Canyon Copper and equipped with a Cream vinyl top over a Sienna vinyl interior, this GTO comes from the selling dealer with restoration paperwork, the original build sheet, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the exterior was refinished in Canyon Copper and trimmed with a multi-color Judge stripe package. Features include a T41 nose with a color-keyed Endura front bumper, a Ram Air hood, dual color-keyed sport mirror caps, a manual driver-side mirror remote, a Cream vinyl top, a color-keyed rear spoiler, a chrome rear bumper, and quad exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 15-inch honeycomb wheels with stainless steel trim rings is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in Sienna vinyl. Features include power steering, manual windows, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, factory air conditioning with an R134a refrigerant conversion, and an AM/FM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 140-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 48,008 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly original Ram Air III 400cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include a four-barrel carburetor, chrome valve covers, and a dual-snorkel air cleaner with a "455HO" decal.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Pontiac was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with Positraction. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums.

No responses to questions of authenticity in addition to "as is where is" reminds me of "buy here pay here" dealers. Other than that, nice looking car, although no provenience supplied. Hard pass.

Needs PHS documentation to determine "as built" configuration. Engine and drivetrain stamping numbers will also confirm originality. My guess is this is not a Judge or a Ram Air III.
