OVERVIEW
This replica car was modeled after the 1936 Cord Warrior and built by SAMCO (Sports Automobile Manufacturing Company), which was reportedly started by Bill Lear of Learjet fame. It is based on a 1969 Ford Mustang and powered by a 302cid Ford V8 backed by a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, an AM radio, air conditioning, and rear-wheel drive. Finished in cream and equipped with a manual black folding canvas convertible top over a refurbished black vinyl interior, this Cord replica comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
In 2022, the exterior was refinished in cream. Features include chrome bumpers, exposed headlights, a forward-opening hood, faux engine-exit exhaust outlets, dual mirrors, suicide doors, a black canvas manual folding convertible top, and dual taillights.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 14-inch steel wheels with wire hubcaps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
According to the selling dealer, the interior was refreshed in 2022. The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power steering, manual windows, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, an AM radio, nonfunctional air conditioning, and a 1957 Ford steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The Stewart Warner instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The odometer reads 16,975 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a recently serviced Ford 302cid V8 and backed by a C4 three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Cord replica is based on a 1969 Ford Mustang and comes equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

The ironic thing is that this car could of been bought, direct, from the dealer (not auction) for less than what I am bidding! But I like it....
