OVERVIEW
This award-winning 1934 Ford pickup street rod build was based on a TCI chassis and completed in 2019. It is powered by a Dart 383cid stroker V8 backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include an independent front suspension, a three-inch chopped top, a Currie Ford nine-inch rear axle, four-wheel disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and a spray-in bedliner. Finished in black and silver over a black cloth interior, this Ford comes with a flash drive with over 700 build photos, awards, a new tachometer and mounting case, uninstalled parts, the reportedly original 1934 California license plates, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
In 2019, the all-steel body with custom fenders was finished in black and silver. Features include a chrome front spreader bar, a black radiator shell with a black insert, chrome headlight buckets with halogen headlights, a two-piece hood with removed hood sides, running board step plates, a three-inch chopped top, dual mirrors, widened rear fenders and running boards, a step-side pickup box with a spray-in bedliner, and 1948 Chevrolet tail lights. According to the seller, the cab, bed, grille, and headlight bar have been preserved from the original vehicle. They state there are two small chips in the paint by the upper hinge of the passenger-side door caused by the door opening too far and a small 3/4-inch crack in the lower hinge of the driver-side door. Photos of the cosmetic blemishes on this vehicle are available in the gallery to the right.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of five-spoke Billet Specialties polished aluminum wheels is wrapped in 235/40/17 front and 235/55/17 rear Yokohama S Drive radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in black cloth. Features include a tilt steering column, manual windows, manual steering, a black dashboard, a tilt-out windshield, a four-spoke billet aluminum steering wheel with a black grip, and a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The set of AutoMeter gauges mounted in the center of the dashboard includes a 120-mph speedometer and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. A nonfunctional 8,000-rpm tachometer is located on the steering column. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 383cid stroker V8 built with a Dart Little M block and polished aluminum Dart heads with 10.5:1 compression. That is backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include Sanderson ceramic-coated tubular exhaust headers, aluminum valve covers, a polished aluminum intake, an aluminum air cleaner, a polished alternator, a billet electric water pump, a polished billet aluminum pulley system, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and an MSD ignition. A Demon four-barrel carburetor was installed to replace the carburetor setup shown in the earlier build photos in the gallery to the right. The last service was completed in December 2021. Since January 2022, the truck has been kept in a garage and started every two weeks.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The TCI chassis is equipped with a Ford Mustang II-style independent front suspension, tubular control arms, manual rack-and-pinion steering, and a Currie Ford nine-inch solid rear drive axle with a limited-slip differential and 4.11:1 gears. Coilover shocks and a four-link setup with a Panhard bar were used to mount the rear axle. Braking is provided by manual Wilwood four-wheel discs and polished stainless brake lines. A dual exhaust system with Thrush mufflers exits ahead of the rear axle.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
A flash drive with over 700 build photos, awards, uninstalled parts, a new tachometer and mounting case, and the reportedly original 1934 California license plates will come with the purchase of the vehicle.

@Leaffan – Hi A full shot of the interior from the side would have been good to get a feel of the roominess or lack off. ...
Good morning Leaffan, I just posted a couple photos of the interior from the side. Let me know if this helps or if you need more from a different view. Thank you. Marley5
Here are a couple photos of the interior from the side. It is a standard 1934 Ford cab but chopped 3 inches. Hope this gives you a better perspective.
