OVERVIEW

Features include gray door panels with manual windows, a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a custom center console, air conditioning, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo. The heater has been bypassed. According to the selling dealer, the driver-side floor pan is functional and safe but needs additional bracing.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 110-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. An original clock is mounted on the right side of the dashboard. The odometer reads 2,994 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. The selling dealer states that the oil pressure gauge does not work.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by what the dealer believes is a 400cid V8, which has casting number 0589452YD and is backed by an automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a body-color intake manifold, and a chrome air cleaner.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Torpedo was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
