Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1932 Ford Roadster is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include an independent Jaguar rear axle, a Kilbourne fiberglass body, Edelbrock aluminum heads, a new stainless dual exhaust system, and an HEI ignition system. Finished in matte black over tan cloth and vinyl, this Ford Roadster is available now and comes with a clear title from the selling dealer with a bill of sale.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In 2021, the exterior of this Kilbourne fiberglass body was finished in matte black. Features include a 1932 Ford radiator shell with a stainless steel insert, cast headlight mounts with chrome headlight housings, chrome tubular spreader bars, an open engine compartment, a Duvall-style windshield frame, LED tail lights from Speedway Motors, and a body color-matched fuel tank.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch slotted US wheels is wrapped in new Hankook front and Mickey Thompson rear radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The unfinished interior includes a tan bench seat upholstered in cloth and vinyl. Features include a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a body-color dashboard panel, a polished aluminum steering column drop, a black three-spoke steering wheel, and an aftermarket turn signal assembly.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 140-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage are located in a ribbed aluminum panel ahead of the driver. With 750 miles added during the one-year ownership, the odometer reads 100 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 5.7-liter V8 engine backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock aluminum heads, an Edelbrock carburetor, a finned-aluminum air cleaner, an HEI distributor, and block Hugger headers with a high-temperature coating.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Roadster is equipped with a solid dropped I-beam front axle, mounted with chrome four-bar, and an independent rear drive Jaguar axle. Braking is provided by manual front discs and rear drums. A stainless steel dual exhaust system exits ahead of the rear axle. The frame rails have been finished to match the body. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the carousel to the right.
