OVERVIEW
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe was reportedly kept by one family since 1960 and is equipped with a 265cid V8 and Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a push-button radio, a dual exhaust system, whitewall tires, and anodized gold badging. Finished in Onyx Black over a black and silver cloth and vinyl interior, this Bel Air is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The original Onyx Black (code 793) paint has been touched up in certain areas and the dealer has included close-up images of checking, cracking, and other small blemishes in the gallery to the right. Exterior features include chrome brightwork, a driver-side mirror, rocker moldings, an antenna, anodized gold badging, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 14-inch wheels with covers are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is furnished with dual benches that have the original silver vinyl and black cloth aside from the reupholstered front seat bottoms. Features include aluminum dash trim, Bel Air badging, a push-button radio, a clock, replacement carpeting, and a vinyl-lined trunk with a spare tire. According to the selling dealer, the front seat bottom upholstery and the carpeting were purchased from a Chevrolet dealership's parts department in the 1970s.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 69,701 miles, which the selling dealer believes to be the car's actual miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 265cid V8 was rated at 162 horsepower when new. It feeds power to the rear wheels via a column-shifted Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The selling dealer has provided a video with a start-up, an exterior walk-around, and up-close body details.
