OVERVIEW
This refurbished 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power brakes, power windows, an AM/FM stereo, and air conditioning. Finished in red and equipped with a manual black cloth convertible top over a tan vinyl interior, this R107 SL comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration completed in 2021, the exterior was refinished in red. Features include chrome bumpers with black trim, fog lights, Euro exterior lighting, chrome rocker and wheel well moldings, dual mirrors, side impact trim, a black manual convertible top with plastic rear windows, and a power antenna.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 14-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in blackwall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in tan vinyl. Features include power windows, power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, a repaired AM/FM stereo, and tan trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, clock, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer reads 166,000 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 4.5-liter V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that standard maintenance was completed in June 2022.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mercedes was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs.
