1976 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE

OVERVIEW

This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is powered by a 500cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, power windows and locks, air conditioning, a tilt and telescoping steering column, an AM/FM/8-track stereo, cruise control, and a color-keyed hard parade boot. Several parts, including the top, air conditioning compressor, and front drive axles, have been replaced within the last two years. Finished in Firethorn Metallic and equipped with a matching vinyl convertible top over an Antique Dark Firethorn leather and houndstooth cloth interior, this Eldorad comes with service records and a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior has been refinished in the original color of Firethorn Metallic (code 36). Features include chrome bumpers, hood trim, a hood ornament, white accent stripes,  fender-mounted lighting indicators, side impact moldings, wheel well and rocker moldings, and a covered trunk lock. Between 2022 and this year, the Firethorn vinyl convertible top, two-piece hard parade boot, and low-beam headlights were replaced.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps and color-keyed inserts is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The power front bench seat and the rear seat are upholstered in Antique Dark Firethorn leather and houndstooth cloth. Features include power windows and locks, power steering, a tilt and telescoping steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, an original AM/FM/8-track stereo, cruise control, air conditioning, and woodgrain accents. The seller states that both lenses for the courtesy lights in the back seat are missing.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. With 4,000 miles added during the seller's two-year ownership, the odometer reads 51,253 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 500cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. New parts installed in 2022 and 2023 include the air conditioning compressor, front drive axles, radiator, thermostat, and hoses. An oil change was completed in 2022.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Eldorado is equipped with a front-drive transaxle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A single exhaust system with a new muffler exits at the rear.
