1954 Plymouth Belvedere Sedan

OVERVIEW

This 1954 Plymouth Belvedere sedan was restored under previous ownership and is powered by the reportedly original 217cid inline six-cylinder engine, which is backed by a PowerFlite two-speed automatic transmission. Features include manual steering and brakes, window rain visors, an AM radio, and recently serviced fuel and brake systems. Finished in yellow and black over a black and white vinyl interior, this Plymouth comes with a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration, the exterior was finished in yellow with a black roof. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille and side trim, dual mirrors, stainless steel window rain visors, and a PowerFlite trunk emblem. The seller states that some chrome pitting is present. which can be seen in the gallery to the right.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of yellow 15-inch yellow steel wheels with full hub caps is wrapped in used Firestone 710-15 tires. The tires were mounted and balanced in July 2023. The date of the tires is unknown.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black and white vinyl. Features include manual windows and steering, an AM radio, a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and a three-spoke steering wheel with a chrome horn ring.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, amps, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. With 175 miles added during the seller's five-month ownership, the odometer reads 14,547 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the reportedly original 217cid inline six-cylinder engine and backed by a PowerFlite two-speed automatic transmission. A new fuel pump was installed, the engine received a tune-up, the distributor was repaired, and a new brake master cylinder was installed in May 2023.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Plymouth was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear. The gas tank has been refurbished and the fuel system has been cleaned out. Four new shock absorbers were installed in May 2023.
