OVERVIEW
This restored 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet Ram Jet V8 crate engine backed by a numbers-matching TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, a factory air conditioning system that has been upgraded with Vintage Air components, a sport steering wheel, and custom 17-inch American Racing wheels. Finished in black over black vinyl interior, this rust-free Monte Carlo is available now and comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, with 3,000 miles logged since completion, the exterior was finished in black. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille and headlight trim, dual sport mirrors, a black vinyl top, and wheel well and rocker trim.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of American Racing VN501 wheels in staggered size is wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport radial tires with 235/55/17 fronts and 275/40/ZR17 rears.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bench seat, the rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows, a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a sport steering wheel, an AM/FM stereo, factory air conditioning updated with Vintage Air components, a trunk-mounted subwoofer, and simulated wood grain trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 55,000 miles which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet Ram Jet V8 crate engine backed by a numbers-matching TH350 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a chrome Powemaster alternator, a serpentine belt engine accessory drive system, and tubular exhaust headers. The seller states that routine maintenance was completed within the last few months.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Monte Carlo is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A Hotchkis rear sway bar has been installed. Braking is provided by power brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
