1964 Volvo 122S 4-Speed

OVERVIEW

This 1964 Volvo 122S is equipped with the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, and differential from a 1973 Volvo P1800ES. Features include manual four-wheel disc brakes, an electronic ignition, two-inch lowering sport springs, a new starter and water pump, and an AM/FM radio. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in cream white 10 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, gold anodized nameplates and lettering, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, side trim, and a rear tailgate and upper hatch. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of late-model five-spoke 15-inch Volvo wheels is wrapped in P205/60R15 Goodyear Viva 2 radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats, rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in new red vinyl. Features include manual steering and windows, an AM/FM radio, a new red headliner, red carpeting, black and white trim, and a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter. The seller states that new front door seals have been installed.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level and temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 47,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine from a 1973 Volvo P1800ES and backed by the four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and differential from the same car. Engine bay features include a new aluminum valve cover, an aluminum intake manifold, a Weber two-barrel carburetor, a chrome air cleaner, an electronic ignition, a new starter and water pump, and an electric fan. UNDERCARRIAGE

This Volvo was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. It currently sits two inches lower than stock on new shocks and new sport springs.
