OVERVIEW
This 1989 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 350cid V8 equipped with Tuned Port Injection and backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows, power four-wheel disc brakes with new drilled and slotted rotors and brake pads, a Sony AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, recharged air conditioning, power mirrors, LED headlights, and a tilt steering column. Finished in Dark Blue Metallic and equipped with a tan cloth convertible top over a Saddle leather interior, this C4 Corvette comes with service records, an owner’s manual, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is wearing the factory-applied Dark Blue Metallic finish, which has been treated with a nine-year ceramic coating. Features include new LED headlights, black side moldings, color-keyed power mirror housings, tan cloth convertible top, and color-keyed convertible top boot. The seller notes that the hood has a stress crack from past ownership, plus there is a touch-up spot for a nick on a corner of the hood, a scratch on the passenger-side door, and a scratch on the passenger side of the car.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch Corvette alloy wheels is wrapped in 275/40ZR17 Uniroyal Tiger Paw radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in Saddle leather. Features include power windows and locks, power steering, a tilt steering column, air conditioning, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and a Sony AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo that was installed in early 2023.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The digital gauges located ahead of the driver include an 85-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. With 100 miles added during the seller's three years of ownership, the odometer reads 46,287 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate. The last reported mileage of 45,978 was logged on the CARFAX report in May 2021.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350cid V8 equipped with Tuned Port Injection (TPI) and backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Newly installed parts include the K&N air filter, TPI sensor, BBK Power-Plus throttle body, alternator, serpentine belt with tensioner, 2,360-cfm radiator fan, and 180-degree thermostat. Recent service includes a radiator flush, a refrigerant recharge, and an oil change.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs with newly replaced drilled and slotted rotors and brake pads. Four new shocks have also been installed. The exhaust exits at the rear through quad outlets.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report starts in August 1989 and shows an accident-free history with ownership in New York, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The seller will include an owner's manual and receipts for the replacement of the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner as well as the air conditioning recharge with the purchase of the car.
