Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Sports Coupe is powered by a 400cid V8 backed by a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, bucket seats, a center console, and air conditioning. Finished in Crimson over a red vinyl interior, this Oldsmobile comes with several removed factory parts and a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was refinished in the original color of Crimson (code 52) 14 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, black grilles with chrome trim, a fender-mounted antenna, black side stripes, wheel opening moldings, a driver-side mirror, and 442 emblems. The seller states that small chips can be seen in the exterior paint.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of aftermarket replica 15-inch chrome Super Stock I wheels is wrapped in P235/60R15 front and P275/60R15 rear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires that were installed in August 2022.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl (code 935). Features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted manual transmission shifter, an inoperative AM/FM/cassette stereo, a four-spoke sport steering wheel with a red grip, air conditioning, and a red dashboard top pad.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The seller states that the fuel gauge is not working. The odometer reads 68,410 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the reportedly original 400cid V8 and backed by a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the transmission is leaking grease. Engine bay features include new engine mounts, a Mallory electronic ignition module, and a new heavy-duty radiator with a coolant recovery tank.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Oldsmobile is equipped with a heavy-duty independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power drum brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. A front-end alignment was recently completed and new shocks have been installed.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The seller will include the original steering wheel and 8-track player as well as a tilt steering column, a vacuum-operated trunk release, a reverse lockout linkage, and other parts with the purchase of the car.

@gixxerman35 – Why does the cowl tag show a cutlass number 69 33677. Is this common? I've seen some with cutlass numbers and other with 442 numbers. 69 34477. Very curious. Do you have pictures of the engine pad with the vin on it? Thanks. ...

Here are pictures but block pad is obstructed by accessories I’m not sure about the concern of car being a Cutlass I have had several Oldsmobile owners look this car over and all said it’s a gun one 442 plus before I purchased it ran VIN to verify it authentic Hope this satisfies you’re concerns
