OVERVIEW
This 1995 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus was imported from Brazil earlier this year and received an exterior and interior restoration within the last six months that included a fresh coat of paint, a refurbished interior, new tires, and the addition of a power steering system. It is powered by an air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Finished in white with a green accenting body wrap over a tan vinyl interior, this Bus is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
As part of the restoration, the exterior was repainted white and given a green vinyl wrap around the lower body. Additional features include white bumpers, chrome headlight rings, a VW emblem up front, dual mirrors, pop-out side windows, and a roof-mounted luggage basket with a step ladder.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 14-inch wheels with VW-branded chrome hubcaps are wrapped in new 185/70 Bridgestone and Firestone tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The three-row interior features reupholstered tan vinyl bench seating; the same material is carried through to the door panels and the upper dash pad. The rear passenger compartment is accessed via barn-door style entry doors on the passenger side and has two rows of bench seats, Additional features include lap belts, rubber flooring, side window curtains, a radio, and a fire extinguisher.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 150-km/h speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 89,913 kilometers (approximately 55,869 miles). The CARFAX report does not contain any mileage readings.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 1.6-liter air-cooled flat-four was reportedly serviced within the last six months. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transaxle.
