OVERVIEW

This Candian-built 1956 Chevrolet 150 two-door sedan has been one-family-owned since 1989 and is powered by a 502cid big-block V8 mated to a 4L80E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a Ford nine-inch rear end. Upgrades include power steering, a custom bucket seat interior, AutoMeter gauges, an aluminum radiator, QA1 front coilovers, and four-wheel power disc brakes. Finished in blue with multicolor accents over a two-tone blue and white cloth interior, this 150 restomod is now offered with boxes of original items and brackets, a case of engine oil, the removed original torque converter, and Manitoba, Canada registration.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The blue exterior was last repainted about 20 years ago and features custom accent graphics extending from the doors to the quarter panels. Features include chrome brightwork, bumper guards, and a vented hood. The seller notes that there is a paint blemish on the bottom right of the trunk.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Prime 15-inch tri-spoke wheels are wrapped in 205/70 front and 275/60 rear BFGoodrich tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior has been customized with two-tone white and blue cloth bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and the same materials with yellow striping on the door panels. Black carpeting has been added along with Chevrolet-branded floor mats and a custom blue center console. Cabin features include power steering, lap belts, tinted replacement glass, an AM/FM/CD radio, and a billet steering wheel. The trunk is both upholstered and carpeted to coordinate with the rest of the interior.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The odometer shows 11,000 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The big-block 502cid V8 is equipped with upgrades including an aluminum radiator, Brodix heads, a Lunati camshaft, a HI-6 ignition system, and a 950-cfm carburetor. A new coil and module have also been installed. An oil change was performed in 2021. Power is sent to the 4.56:1 Ford nine-inch rear end via a 4L80E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission equipped with a FAST EZ-TCU transmission control unit and a transmission cooler.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Handling is assisted by QA1 front coilovers. Stopping power comes from four-wheel power disc brakes.
