OVERVIEW
This 1972 De Tomaso Pantera is powered by a newly rebuilt 392ci Windsor V8 backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Features include new rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, MSD electronic ignition, new clutch, new cooling system piping, new outer and inner tie rods, Xenon headlights, Brullen exhaust system and Vitaloni mirrors. Finished in Yellow with black vinyl interior, this De Tomaso Pantera is available now and comes from the seller with Marti Report documentation, Ford Racing engine build documents and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is finished in Yellow. Features include black U.S.-spec bumpers, pop-up Xenon headlights, Vitaloni rear-view mirrors, black rocker trim and color-keyed rear engine cover.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch 10-spoke aluminum Pantera wheels is wrapped in Dunlop 235/40/R17 front and Sumitomo 315/35/ZR17 rear radials.
INTERIOR FEATURES
The racing bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual steering and brakes, upgraded Sony AM/FM/CD stereo, manual windows, four-spoke steering wheel, Simpson seat belts and center console-mounted manual transmission shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The instrument panel consists of a 160-mph speedometer, 10,000-rpm tachometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage and oil pressure. The odometer reads 49,480 miles but the true mileage is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Originally equipped with a 351ci Cleveland V8, this Pantera is currently powered by a newly rebuilt, 420-horsepower 392ci Ford Windsor V8 with 650 miles logged since the install. It is backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Engine features include aluminum heads and intake manifold, chrome valve covers, Holley 750cfm double pumper four-barrel carburetor, chrome K&N air cleaner, Brullen tubular exhaust headers and MSD electronic ignition. The seller states that, within the past three months, an oil change was performed, an oil filter was installed, the carburetor was adjusted, the spark plugs were changed and the MSD ignition system was rewired.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Pantera was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear-drive transaxle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel discs. A quad-tip Brullen exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that the rack-and-pinion steering, tie rods, rear suspension and rear axles were serviced three months ago.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include a Marti Report and Ford Racing engine build documents as part of the sale. This vehicle was previously listed on AutoHunter and is now being offered at a lower reserve.

Why was the decision to go with a Windsor instead of rebuilding the original Cleveland? Just curious. Beautiful car regardless.
