1973 OLDSMOBILE OMEGA

OVERVIEW

This 1973 Oldsmobile Omega is powered by a 350cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, a JVC stereo with a Jensen power booster, and tinted windows. New parts include the distributor, water pump, front end, shocks, and brakes. Finished in orange with black accent stripes and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior with cloth seating areas, this Oldsmobile comes with a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior was repaired and refinished in orange with black accent stripes in July 2014. Features include chrome bumpers with black impact strips, chrome grilles, wheel opening and rocker moldings, dual color-keyed sport mirror caps, a manual remote driver-side mirror, and a black vinyl top.

A set of chrome Oldsmobile Super Stock I wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bench seat and the rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl with cloth seating areas. Features include manual windows, power steering, a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, an Oldsmobile sport steering wheel, a digital JVC AM/FM stereo with a trunk-mounted Jensen power booster, a custom black vinyl dashboard pad, and woodgrain accents.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. A set of instruments for the water temperature, voltage, and oil pressure is located under the dashboard. With 200 miles added during the seller's nine-year ownership, the odometer reads 72,888 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350cid V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers and a black air cleaner housing. New parts include the Quadrajet carburetor, PerTronix Flame-Thrower HEI distributor, MSD plug wires, aluminum radiator,  water pump, and fan clutch. This vehicle was factory-equipped with air conditioning, but the compressor has been removed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Oldsmobile was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. New components include the tubular front control arms, ball joints, coil springs, tire rods, center link, shocks, brakes, rotors, and bearings. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A new large-tube exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers exits at the rear.
