OVERVIEW
This restored 1968 Volkswagen Beetle was with the same owner for approximately 30 years. It is powered by an air-cooled 1,600cc flat four-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include bumper guards, manual steering and brakes, custom eight-spoke wheels, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. Finished in white over a black vinyl interior, this Beetle comes from the selling dealer with an owner’s manual and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in white approximately eight years ago. Features include chrome bumpers with black trim and bumper guards, hood and bodyside trim, a driver-side mirror, a cowl-mounted antenna, pop-out rear quarter windows, and black running boards.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 15-inch eight-spoke aluminum wheels is wrapped in Ohtsu radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows and steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, an AM/FM/cassette radio, a black dashboard, a white vinyl headliner, and white metal trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 89,004 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by an air-cooled 1,600cc flat four-cylinder engine and backed by a four-speed manual transaxle. A safety inspection was recently completed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Beetle was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive transaxle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. The exhaust exits at the rear through dual outlets.

@Rmscott1983 – any rust? ...
No rust issues, The Valve covers have some slight seepage, but nothing major. Overall a very clean running and driving beetle. The Previous owner loved this car and you can tell when you drive it. Freeway Speeds 60-70MPH no problem 1 finger. Overall very clean solid West Coast bug. Never looks to be exposed to salt issues, floors are original without any known issues. Originally Sold in California.
