OVERVIEW
This restored 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe is powered by a BluePrint Engines 350cid V8 crate motor backed by a rebuilt TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a domed hood, power steering, power front disc brakes, bucket seats, a center console, and SS emblems. Finished in blue with white SS stripes over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle comes with a Protect-O-Plate, receipts, vehicle documentation, and a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration in 2022, the body was refinished in blue with white SS stripes. Features include chrome bumpers, a black grille with SS emblems, a domed cowl-induction-style hood, chrome mirror caps, and wheel opening moldings.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 20” x 8.5” front and 20” x 10” rear chrome five-spoke Ridler wheels is wrapped in new radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a heater, and a RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo. The seller states that this Chevelle was originally equipped with air conditioning, but all of the associated components have been removed.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. A set of three aftermarket gauges is located under the dashboard. The odometer reads 100,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
In 2022, a new BluePrint Engines 350cid V8 crate engine was installed and the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, a chrome air cleaner housing, an HEI electronic ignition system, and tube exhaust headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Chevelle is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid 10-bolt rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
