OVERVIEW
This restored Brazilian-built 1969 Volkswagen Beetle is powered by a newly rebuilt air-cooled 1,500cc flat-four engine mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include a custom sliding ragtop, pop-out quarter windows, new upholstery with custom carpet, a bamboo parcel shelf, underhood upholstery, and 17-inch wheels. Finished in off-white over a red vinyl interior, this garage-kept Beetle comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration, the body was finished in off-white. Features include chrome bumpers with overriders, fluted European headlight glass, forward-mounted rearview mirrors, a driver-side rearview mirror, louvered running boards, a custom maroon vinyl sliding ragtop, and pop-out quarter windows.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch Volkswagen Wolfsburg Edition five-spoke alloy wheels is wrapped in 205/40R17 Pirelli Cinturato P1 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in new red vinyl. Features include manual windows and steering, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter with a reverse lockout, a radio block-off plate, a bamboo parcel shelf, and body-color trim.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 88,104 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a newly rebuilt air-cooled 1,500cc flat-four engine and backed by a four-speed manual transaxle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Beetle is equipped with a lowered four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive transaxle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A pair of chrome exhaust outlets exit at the rear.
