Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1964 Pontiac LeMans two-door hardtop is a custom one-off restomod equipped with a Holley Sniper fuel-injected 400cid V8 connected to a TREMEC five-speed manual transmission. Features include Baer four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, Hotchkis suspension equipment, 18-inch U.S. Mags wheels, and Vintage Air air conditioning. Finished in metallic blue over a black vinyl interior, this LeMans is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The metallic blue finish of the body carries through to the color-keyed fiberglass bumpers and contrasts with the gloss black trim for the window moldings and door handles. Features include quad headlights, a fiberglass hood with retention pins, capped windshield wipers, a driver-side mirror, and a dual exhaust system.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

U.S. Mags 18-inch aluminum multi-spoke wheels with polished lips are wrapped in low-profile radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior has black vinyl bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching furnishings for the door panels and carpeting. Features include a body-color dash, power steering, Vintage Air climate control with air conditioning, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a center console, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The Dakota Digital instrumentation includes a speedometer, a bar-style 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 400cid V8 bears casting number 9790010 and has been upgraded with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, an Edelbrock intake, an MSD distributor, a billet serpentine belt system, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The firewall has been smoothed and painted. Power is fed to the back wheels through a TREMEC five-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear end.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from manual Baer drilled and slotted disc brakes. The suspension has been upgraded with Global West Suspension tubular A-arms, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, Spohn Performance rear trailing arms, and Bilstein rear shock absorbers.
