1984 CHEVROLET CAMARO SPORT COUPE V8

OVERVIEW

This 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe received a fresh coat of paint in 2019 and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power front disc brakes, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a Bluetooth audio system, and the F41 Sport Suspension. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

American Racing 18-inch aluminum five-spoke wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Petlas Velox Sport tires sized 225/45 up front and 255/45 out back.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cockpit is furnished with black vinyl high-back bucket seats up front, a two-passenger bench in the rear, and matching door panels, dash, center console, headliner, and carpeting. Features include a Grant wood-rimmed steering wheel, manual-crank windows, a custom shift lever, and a Bluetooth audio system with a cargo area-mounted subwoofer.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. An auxiliary 6,000-rpm tachometer has been mounted to the steering column. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 49,308 miles. There is a mileage inconsistency noted on the CARFAX beginning in 2018 due to odometer roll-over; the true mileage on the chassis is not known.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 5.0-liter V8 features Edelbrock upgrades. The CARFAX report shows that work in 2018 included the replacement of the transmission filter, transmission fluid, and rear differential fluid. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The shock absorbers were replaced recently per the selling dealer. Stopping is performed by power disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. The CARFAX states that the brake rotors, fluid, hoses, and pads were replaced in 2018. When new, the F41 Sport Suspension added a unique front stabilizer, a rear stabilizer, special shocks, and "quick response" power steering.
