OVERVIEW
This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible was restored in the late 1980s. It is powered by a 350cid V8 crate engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include an LT-1 hood, a tilt and telescoping steering column, an AM/FM digital stereo, and power disc brakes. Finished in red and equipped with a manual black vinyl convertible top over a black vinyl interior, this Corvette comes with the removed original engine, an AM/FM/cassette radio, a fitted car cover, and a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration in the late 1980s, the exterior was changed from the original color of Sunflower Yellow (code 912) to red. Features include chrome bumpers, pop-up headlights, an LT-1 hood, hideaway windshield wipers, a driver-side rearview mirror, a manual black vinyl convertible top, a rear-mounted antenna, and a luggage rack. The seller states that this Corvette has been garage-kept since the restoration was completed, but notes that a few minor chips are present on the front end. The video below shows an exterior walk-around and footage of the engine running.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch silver Corvette Rally wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings is wrapped in new 245/50 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with black vinyl bucket seats surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a tilt and telescoping steering column, a center console-mounted manual transmission shifter, and an AM/FM digital stereo with rear-mounted speakers.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. With 150 miles added during the seller's 1.5-year ownership, the odometer reads 60,825 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350cid V8 crate engine and backed by a four-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the engine produces 375 horsepower. The oil was changed before the seller purchased the vehicle. Engine bay features include Edelbrock aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a chrome Holley air cleaner, an MSD electronic ignition system, and tube exhaust headers.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette was factory-equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include the removed original engine, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and a fitted car cover with the purchase of the car.

@ChevyJohn – Was this an original LT 1? I WOULD IMAGINE THE NEW CRATE ENGINE REPLACED THE ORIGINAL DUE TO THE DETUNING OF THE LT 1 IN 72, I HAD A NEW LT1 IN 1971 AND IT PUT OUT 330 HP. I ALSO NOTICED THE TACH HAS A RED LINE OF 7000 RPM WHICH WOULD ATTEST 00-60 IN FIRST GEAR. THANKS FOR THE INFO. JOHN BRICKMAN ...
Hi John. It was not an original LT-1 car. The LT-1 hood was added during the restoration
@BBVac – Hi John. To my knowledge the rear end is original to the car so I am assuming that the gear ratio is the factory spec of 3:38. The chips are very small and you have to be really looking for them. There may be 5 or 6. ...

@RK6272 – Thanks BBVac.. In the 4 pics on the lower end #3. What is the piece of fiberglass hanging down on the left? Is this a NO AC vette? ...
I believe that is a piece of tape. I am not currently at the same location as the car but will be later today and I will check. The car was not equipped with factory AC. Thanks

Where is the car physically located Thanks Bob
Hi Rk6272, Yes all of the gauges work even the original dial clock still works. It comes with the convertible top only. The car has HEI ignition and the trailing arm bearings seem fine. I am unaware of any issues. Thanks
