Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This custom-built 1951 Chevrolet 3600 pickup was restored in 2006 under prior ownership and features a chopped cab, shaved door handles, and a wood bed floor. It is powered by a 355cid V8 equipped with tuned-port fuel injection and connected to a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt nine-inch limited-slip rear end. Equipment includes air conditioning, power rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in yellow over a tan leather interior, this "Advance-Design" 3600 is now offered with build documentation, receipts, photos, and a clear title in the seller's name.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The yellow all-steel body was customized during the restoration process in 2006 and incorporates a color-matched front bumper, a chopped cab, shaved door handles, chrome grille bars, peep mirrors, wooden bed planks with stainless steel hardware, a rear roll pan with slotted taillights, and a dual exhaust system with polished outlets. The driver-side window has a crack in it per the seller.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Chrome-finished 15-inch smoothie wheels are wrapped in 225/60 front and 295/50 rear Kelly tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior of the cab is fitted with Summit tan leather bucket seats, while the door panels and carpeting are trimmed in gray and purple. Features include air conditioning, a banjo-style steering wheel, power windows, lap belts, power door locks, power rack-and-pinion steering, and floor mats.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation includes a Dakota Digital gauge set that indicates the speed, rpm, fuel level, and additional vehicle data. The odometer reads 1,465 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 355cid small-block V8 features a Crower camshaft, an Eagle Specialty Products crankshaft, hydraulic roller lifters, roller-tipped rockers, Dart heads, MSD ignition, and a tuned-port fuel injection system. The new battery is housed within a drop-down box underneath the truck. Power is sent to the back wheels via a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a rebuilt Ford nine-inch limited-slip rear end.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The underbody has been painted purple and uses stainless steel control arms, a Heidts front suspension, and adjustable coilovers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The sale includes build documentation with receipts and photos.
