VORTEC 5.3L-POWERED 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR SPORT COUPE

OVERVIEW

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe restomod is powered by a Vortec LS 5.3-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. It has also been upgraded with power steering, power disc brakes, Vintage Air climate control, a center console, and bucket seats. Finished in red over a custom gray cloth and vinyl interior, this Bel Air is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The red exterior was resprayed under prior ownership and is said to be driver-grade quality. Features include chrome brightwork, anodized gold badging, dual side mirrors, and a dual exhaust system with chrome outlets.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

New American Racing 17-inch aluminum wheels with polished outer lips are wrapped in 235/45 Velozza tires that have less than 100 miles on them.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior has been modernized with gray cloth and vinyl bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, a center console, and matching trim for the door panels, headliner, and carpeting. Features include Vintage Air climate control, power steering, power windows, a radio, a custom steering wheel, aluminum dash trim, Bel Air badging, a clock, and floor mats.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Modernized instrumentation has replaced the factory gauges and consists of a 160-mph speedometer and auxiliary readouts. A digital tachometer tracks mileage; the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The Vortec LS 5.3-liter V8 is cooled by an aluminum radiator and features a custom air intake and Corvette-branded valve covers. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed overdrive automatic transmission. A safety inspection has been performed.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping is performed by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
