1986 Ford F-250 XLT LARIAT

OVERVIEW

This restored 1986 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat is powered by a rebuilt 460cid V8 backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a newly installed Holley Sniper fuel injection system, power steering and brakes, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, and several new braking, cooling, and steering system parts. Finished in Desert Tan Metallic over a Chestnut cloth interior, this F-250 comes with a clean CARFAX report and a bonded title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In September 2023, the exterior was refinished in the original color of Desert Tan Metallic (code 9N). Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille with a gray insert and a new Ford emblem, a fender-mounted antenna, new rearview mirrors, restored original side trim and running boards, a long bed, dual fuel tanks, aluminum tread-plate bed rail covers, a black spray-in bed liner, a new rear bumper, new taillight lenses, and tailgate trim. Additional newly installed parts include the door seals and beltline window weatherstrips.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 16-inch five-spoke American Racing aluminum wheels is wrapped in 235/85 Kumho Road Venture A/T radial tires. The seller states that the wheels and tires have recently been balanced.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The bench seat is upholstered in Chestnut cloth. Features include manual windows, power steering, cruise control, a steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and woodgrain accents.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

An 85-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 80,496 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate. The last reported mileage of 78,161 was logged on the CARFAX report in 2015.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the reportedly original 460cid and backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. New components include the Holley Sniper fuel injection system, radiator, electric fan, battery, steering box, and power steering fluid reservoir.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Ford was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A new dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers exits at the rear. The seller states that a new master cylinder and booster have been installed, the front brake rotors have been turned, new pads have been installed, and the rear drum brakes have been cleaned and adjusted. Additionally, the rear differential fluid has been checked, brake fluid has been added, and an alignment has been performed. The bed was removed and the chassis was painted with a protective coating. Newly installed parts include the dual fuel tanks, fuel tank level sending units, and tank selection valve and switch.
