OVERVIEW
This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster resided in California long-term and is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The two-passenger interior is fitted with tan leather bucket seats, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Features include woodgrain trim, power steering, a Pioneer audio system, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
VDO-branded instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges for the oil pressure, fuel economy, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 128,262 miles, which lines up with the most recent figure of 128,159 miles recorded on the CARFAX report in 2018.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 5.6-liter V8 was rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque when new. Maintenance per the CARFAX report includes the replacement of the spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, fuel filter, window switch, and fluids in 2014 within the last 1,000 miles. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

When you turn the ignition key too start does it power up-when you put the transmission selector in drive does the auto move through the top gear for street speed limit
