SUPERCHARGED 383-POWERED 1931 FORD MODEL A

OVERVIEW

This 1931 Ford Model A hot rod is the product of a custom build and receives power from a supercharged 383cid stroker V8 mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with a Weiand 6-71 blower, a coilover rear suspension, Mickey Thompson tires, Wilwood front disc brakes, and an aftermarket frame. Finished in metallic silver with blue stripes over a black and gray vinyl interior, this Model A is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The metallic silver body is accented with blue dual stripes and rides on an aftermarket frame. Features include an open front clip, chrome radiator and engine accents, side-exit exhaust pipes, a windshield visor, a hinged swing-out windshield, dual side mirrors, and slim taillights.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

American Racing chrome 15-inch five-spoke wheels are wrapped in staggered-width Mickey Thompson tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The seating arrangement consists of black perforated vinyl buckets with purple and gray accents. Features include woodgrain dash trim, a B&M T-handle shift lever, tinted windows, and a custom AM/FM/CD/USB audio system with an upholstered triple-speaker box in the rear cargo area.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Aftermarket instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 8,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary dash-mounted gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The mechanical odometer shows 4,720 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The supercharged 383cid stroker V8 is equipped with dual Holley 650-cfm carburetors and a Weiand 6-71 blower kit. Power is sent to the back wheels via a floor-shifted 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73:1 gearing.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Underpinnings include a coilover suspension in the rear. Stopping is performed by Wilwood disc brakes with ventilated rotors up front and drum brakes in the rear.
