ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a turbocharged, direct-injection Ecotec 2.0-liter I4 and backed by a 5L40-E five-speed automatic transmission. When new, the engine produced 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Solstice was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power anti-lock discs. The exhaust system exits at the rear through dual polished tips. The GXP package adds a sport-tuned suspension, a shorter third-gear ratio, a taller rear axle ratio, Stabilitrak stability control, and a limited-slip differential.
