OVERVIEW

This 1997 Jeep Wrangler four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle has been Florida-owned for the last 19 years and is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 100-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 152,653 miles, which is in line with the most recent reading of 149,722 miles recorded on the CARFAX report in 2006.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 2.5-liter inline-four was rated at 120 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque when new. An aftermarket air intake has been added. Power is directed to all four wheels via a floor-shifted five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Braking is power-assisted and comes from discs up front and drums in the rear. A fuel tank skid plate, a front stabilizer bar, and front and rear track bars came as standard equipment.

The CARFAX report begins in 1996 in Vermont and shows accident-free ownership in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida.
