This 1969 Corvette Stingray T-top was a side pipe Tri-power 427/400 from the factory and was the recipient of a $10k refurbishment approximately eight years ago while under previous ownership. The current powerplant is a correct but not matching-numbers 427ci V8 and it is paired with Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Work performed during the refurbishment included rebuilding the front and rear ends and heads, adding a Holley double-pumper carburetor, a Competition cam, Edelbrock Torker intake, new coated manifolds, Hurst shifter, and new seats and carpet, and re-chroming the exhaust covers and bumpers. The seller acquired the car about one year ago and has stored it in a temperature-controlled garage. This C3 is offered with an owner's manual, refurbishment records, the original steering wheel and shifter, and a clear Pennsylvania title in the seller's name.
The body is finished in LeMans Blue with re-chromed side pipe covers and rear bumper. The car has been stored in a temperature-controlled garage for nearly a year, and the seller believes the paint to be original. Gallery photos showing chips and flakes on various panels. The T-top is reported to attach and remove easily, as is the rear window.
Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires are mounted on 15" slotted wheels. All emblems and badges are present, and the lights and flashers are said to work.
Seating has been updated with new foam, black vinyl covers, and headrests, the carpeting has been redone, and new seatbelts and embroidered floor mats have been installed. An aftermarket steering wheel and a new Hurst shifter were added as well, and the original steering wheel, shifter, and linkage will go with the car.
A factory low-option example, the car was ordered with manual windows and a no air conditioning. The wiper cowl is reported to work, but the wipers do not, nor do the clock or temperature gauge. The five-digit odometer shows under 43k miles, only 150 of which have been added by the seller during ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
Power currently comes from a 1969 427ci V8 (engine #T092OLM, block casting #3955270), which replaced the original big block, and it is paired with a 4-speed M22 gearbox (casting #3925660). Engine work performed during the refurbishment consisted of rebuilding the heads with hardened seats in order to run unleaded fuel safely, as well as the addition of a new radiator mount, Holley double-pumper 750 cfm carburetor, a Comp cam with .550 lift, an Edelbrock Torker intake, and new coated exhaust manifolds.
A positraction rear end was a factory-installed option, and both it and the front end were previously rebuilt. The low-option car does not have power steering or power brakes, but new stainless steel braided lines will be included.
The owner's manual, service records and invoices from the refurbishment, the factory steering wheel, and other miscellaneous parts and items will go with the car.
