OVERVIEW
This 1976 International Harvester Scout II Traveler 4X4 receives power from a 304cid V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It reportedly originated in Arizona and is described by the seller as restoration-ready with a largely rust-free, straight body. Equipment includes dual mirrors, Maxxis tires, bucket seating, and a Rough Country lift kit. Finished in white over a tan vinyl interior, this Scout II is now offered with uninstalled fabric seats, spare parts, and a clear title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The white exterior is said to be largely rust-free and features a chrome front bumper, a black grille, an antenna, dual mirrors, a rear liftgate, and a tow hitch. The seller notes that the vehicle was originally finished in orange and there are some areas with the prior paint showing through. Detailed images of the door jambs and other areas have been provided, some of which show surface rust at the bottom of the doors and bubbling on the passenger side.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 15-inch wheels with a powder-coated finish and polished covers are wrapped in Maxxis Buckshot Mudder tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with tan vinyl late-model bucket seats up front, a matching folded bench in the rear, a brown-painted dash, and black materials for the door panels and flooring. Features include manual-crank windows and a spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and alternator. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 28,552 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 304cid V8 reportedly runs but could use a tune-up. Power is directed to all four wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case
UNDERCARRIAGE
A Rough Country lift has been installed. The braking system received a newer Wilwood proportioning valve and replacement pads.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The fabric seats and spare parts as shown in the gallery to the right will accompany the vehicle.

And not a crack.
I think it's a shadow, not dirt.
I'm out of pocket for the next 45-60 minutes.... I will be back in time to answer any additional q's.

@Balocco – Thank you. seller. ...
I"m not going to sell a vehicle if there are evident frame issues. My guarantee! I wouldn't want someone doing that to me, and I won't do that to someone else.
Thank you. seller.
@Qualules – Don't know about the tires... there are no holes in the frame. ...
Picture #133 -- not a crack. It's some dirt... as I mentioned previously, IF upon further examination, there's a legitimate crack in the frame, I'll have it professionally repaired by a 4x4 shop here in town before shipping.
Picture in #113 is a dirt spot on the frame, not a crack. The frame is solid. That's why I took so many pics of the under carriage. If it was cracked, I wouldn't be selling it like that. I'll put it this way, IF it's cracked, I'll have it welded professionally before it's shipped.
@Balocco – Hope everything's okay, seller. It's being sold as "restoration ready" so I'm gonna assume the frame is cracked. There are THREE photos of what looks like a crack so maybe thats how it's being disclosed. ...
I don't see those cracks that you do.. sorry. If you feel it's not worthy of your bid, then I understand.
@rnixon – I’m not bidding because no one is answering the legitimate questions below. Nice looking rig but frame issues need to be addressed. Robin Nixon ...

@Balocco – Is that a crack on the frame rail in photo #133? What year are the tires dated? Thank you! ...
No cracks in the frame. It's a solid chassis. I don't know the info on the tires and don't have access with 2 hours to go on the bid as the Scout is in my shop off site
