OVERVIEW
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS396 coupe is powered by a 493cid big-block V8 backed by a TREMEC TKX five-speed manual transmission. Features include an RS grille with hideaway headlights, a cowl-induction hood, a rear spoiler, an updated AM/FM stereo with subwoofers, a Vintage Air climate control system, a tilt steering column, power steering, an MSD electronic ignition system, and power Wilwood disc brakes. Finished in metallic blue with black stripes and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Camaro comes from the selling dealer with two additional sets of wheels and tires and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
Originally finished in Glacier Blue (code 53) with a black vinyl top (code B), the reportedly rust-free body is now finished in metallic blue with black stripes. Originally equipped with a 396cid V8, this Camaro is now powered by a 1969 Corvette 427cid V8, which the selling dealer states was bored out to 493cid. That is backed by a TREMEC TKX five-speed manual transmission with a twin-disc clutch. Engine bay features include Air Flow Research (AFR) aluminum heads, black valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an 850-cfm Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, a cowl-induction air cleaner assembly with a chrome lid, tube exhaust headers, an MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator, polished fender support rods, and a core support filler panel.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Camaro is equipped with an independent front suspension with Hotchkis tubular control arms and a 12-bolt solid rear drive axle with 3.42:1 gears, Positraction, and Calvert Racing CalTracs tubular traction bars. Braking is provided by drilled and slotted power Wilwood discs. A dual exhaust system with power header dumps exits at the rear. The selling dealer states that a new floor pan has been installed.
